Spotted Lanternflies

(6/23/2022) The South River Environmental Commission & Green Team is reminding residents of ways they can help control the spotted lanternfly population. State Rental Assistance Program

(6/22/2022) The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) today announced that its Division of Housing and Community Resources (DHCR) will be accepting pre-applications online for the State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) Waiting List. Imperial Music Center Concerts

(6/18/2022) The Imperial Band of South River will hold their next concert, A Celebration of American Music!" on Sunday, July 10th at 2:00 PM. It takes place at the Imperial Music Center located at 48 Appleby Avenue, South River. All are welcome! Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is free. Donations are accepted. Project Medicine Drop

(4/29/2022) The South River Police Department is reminding residents about their Project Medicine Drop program. Residents can safely dispose unused, unwanted, or expired medications at the drop off point in the lobby of police headquarters at 61 Main Street. Cheer / Gymnastics Instructor Needed

(4/14/2022) South River Parks & Recreation is looking to add an instructor for their fast-growing cheer & tumbling program. The applicant must be a team player and experienced in teaching basic to advanced gymnastics. Anyone interested must be able to pass a background check. The registry helps ensure residents in need of special assistance are able to get the help they need in the event of a police, fire, or medical emergency. Letter Carriers' Food Drive

(4/5/2022) The 30th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive takes place on May 14th, 2022. South River residents are encouraged to participate by placing non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes on this day. Junior Police Academy

(3/11/2022) Save the date! The South River Police Department's 13th annual Junior Police Academy will be held June 27th - July 1st. Plastic Bag Ban

(2/25/2022) New Jersey's plastic bag ban goes into effect on May 4th. South River residents can receive three (3) reusable South River grocery bags from the South River Department of Public Works.
