that are available to the senior citizens of South River.
The Office on Aging’s services are open to South River residents age 55+.
Residents age 62+ are invited to participate in additional off-site excursions which utilize the OOA bus.

The Human Services Building, which opened its doors in March 2007, is handicap accessible
and features a large “community room” for socializing, game room with pool and card tables,
computer learning center, fitness room and movie theater.
Parking is easily accessible from either the building’s parking lot or the overflow parking lot,
located at the corner of Prospect and William Street.
Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 9:45 AM – 3:00 PM
The Office on Aging is dedicated to promoting the health, independence and continuing contributions of older persons, and is pleased to offer a variety of services including:
- Transportation to various shopping centers and stores
- Exciting local day trips and getaway vacations
- Wellness clinics and educational seminars
- Exercise Classes
- Computer classes
- Movies and entertainment
- Links to community resources
- Assistance with various benefits and entitlements including
PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled),
Lifeline utility programs, HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program),
MCMAP (Middlesex County Multi-Assistive Program), etc. - Income tax preparation and PTR (Property Tax Rebate)
